downfall of paper tigers

The first cricket test between the world number 1 and number 2 was proved to be an eye opener for many who considered there coveted place in the indian cricket team as taken for granted.if we take a look on the performance of our batting line up in the first innings,it completely belied our 1st ICC test ranking status.Except SACHIN TENDULKAR hardly any other batsman showed the guts to bravely face the furious duo of steyn and morkel who were continuously bowling at an average pace of 145km/hr.That was the testing time for our middle order but no one took the responsibility to be the anchor for a big score.
In the second innings though they showed some class but not enough to avoid the defeat by an innings.Suresh Raina who has been bestowed with high praises with some spectacular knocks lost his wicket in a way that even a novice would curse himself to get out.May be the hangover of complacency is still there. But if he wont pull up his socks now,it may cost him his place in the team.
Sachin as usual showed his true class and maintained his status quo of being a paragon in the cricket world. The only good thing about the test was the 50th ton scored by MASTER BLASTER which prevented the harsh criticism the team would have faced.
Gary kirsten is on his toughest best and is doing everything which an excellent taskmaster can do.rest everything depends on the team which will play in the ground and the hunger and will of the players to win the first ever test series in that beautiful country.
